二、研究方向
从事天牛科昆虫分类及进化研究，至今共发表天牛科新种5种，中国新纪录属1属，13个中国新纪录种；参与《中国动物志 昆虫纲 鞘翅目 天牛科 天牛亚科》、《中国甲虫名录（天牛亚科、花天牛亚科、锯天牛亚科和椎天牛亚科）》等的编研工作。
